Kia ora! My name is Amy Ross, and I was born and grew up in Ōtepoti Dunedin. I now live in Pae tū Mōkai, Featherston.

I offer a comprehensive and unique suite of skills in education, facilitation, negotiation, investigation, pay equity and employment relations.

I am one of the country's leading experts in pay equity, recognised for spearheading the creation of comprehensive technical guidance, tools, templates, and educational resources to support others to navigate the pay equity claims process. My expertise in this field has been instrumental in fostering greater understanding of the technical area of pay equity and in supporting the progress of claims.

I have a comprehensive knowledge of employment relations and a range of experience in collective bargaining. I specialise in modern gender-neutral job evaluation, having led the development of an internationally recognised gender-neutral tool for work assessment.

I have a deep understanding of what is needed to build and implement strong, just and genuinely transformative employment policies, and practices. My background equips me to navigate complex workplace dynamics and relationships with fairness and balance.

I have accumulated extensive experience working within not-for-profit organisations, with over a decade of social work experience, particular in the fields of domestic and sexual violence. I also have significant experience working in the union movement, resolving employment disputes and improving workplace relationships.

Most recently I have worked as a senior leader in the Public Service, advising multiple Ministers, and Chief Executives.
